“My name is Brittnay, and this is My Rapha Story.”

January 29th, 2020

My name is Brittnay, and this is My Rapha Story.

I first heard about the global issue of human trafficking from my youth minister and his wife, who had recently returned from a trip to Cambodia with Rapha International. At that time, I was about 11 years old.

11 years later, my passion for Rapha International continues to grow. I have been blessed with dear friends who share that passion and actively engage in finding new and unique ways to be involved with Rapha International.

In November of 2018, I attended the International Conference on Missions. Almost every speaker over the course of three days touched on the idea that “your calling is where the world’s pain and your passion meet.” All I could think of in those moments was Rapha International.

I went to Cambodia in March of 2019 and was finally able to see what I had been praying for over the last ten years. The trip was challenging at times, yet so worthwhile. I had the opportunity of watching God work through his faithful servants across the world. I saw healing and the intentional depth of care that Rapha International gives. This experience grew my faith and trust that God was guiding me into missions.

I recently returned from the medical/dental trip to Cambodia that Rapha International takes each year. The medical/dental trip was an enriching experience. I am beyond thankful for the opportunity to be a blessing to the people of Cambodia and was blessed by the faithful servants ministering full time there. I learned more and developed an even deeper love and passion for Cambodia and the Khmer people.

Today, I am actively involved in my church’s partnership with Rapha International. The college I attend, Johnson University, has a Rapha International campus chapter in which students like myself support Rapha International. Last year, my peers and I started a prayer group for those who are aftercare partners on campus.

I am thankful and overjoyed to support Rapha International. It’s part of my testimony and that will continue to grow and shape me. Regardless of where God leads me in life, I find peace in knowing that Rapha International will always be a piece of my life and my story.
