HEATHER NOZEA
Haiti Country Director
Heather began working with Rapha International in 2013, when she and her husband Gerson moved to Haiti to serve as the international directors for Rapha's newly begun work in Haiti. In her role as the Director of Client Services, Heather was responsible for all aspects of care provided for the girls in the survivor care program. In 2020, due to the unraveling security situation in Haiti, Heather and Gerson transitioned to the US while continuing to oversee Rapha's work in Haiti.
In 2025, Heather moved to the role of Haiti Country Director for Rapha. Years of working directly with survivors and seeing the effects of trauma firsthand have deepened a passion in her to work to protect children and to prevent them from experiencing this kind of trauma to begin with. She is grateful for the opportunity to work with Rapha's international staff to develop and implement programs that protect vulnerable children and help bring sustainable freedom for child survivors.
