Joe's heart was moved for survivors of trafficking at a Christ in Youth conference in 2009. It was the first time he had heard of human trafficking and the work Rapha was doing to combat it. Because of his desire to help build stronger families, he attended Ozark Christian College to pursue ministry with children and families.

In 2020, Joe joined Rapha's Development team. He is passionate about ethical storytelling and travels to share the stories of Rapha's staff, clients, and partners. His role helps to equip advocates to spread the word about human trafficking and advance the mission of Rapha. He believes strongly in Rapha's mission to end the trafficking and sexual abuse of children — one child, one family, and one community at a time.
