What do water games, Rapha, and healing have in common?

Every year in Cambodia and Thailand where we work, communities celebrate Songkran. Songkran is the world’s biggest water festival, and it symbolizes hope, healing, and new beginnings.

At Rapha, we’re bringing that same celebration here to Joplin! 

You’re Invited!

Join us July 11, 3pm-6pm for Freedom Splash Bash! This is a FREE community event held at Rapha’s Headquarters in Joplin, Missouri!

Come ready to splash the summer heat away and learn about the hope and healing happening right here in Joplin, MO and around the world.

food trucks, and MORE!

You won’t want to miss the fun, mark your calendars for July 11th

and dress appropriately, because you’re walking into the splash

bash of the summer! 

What is Songkran?

Songkran is a very special cultural festival in Cambodia and Thailand, where Rapha operates survivor care and family strengthening programs. 💙

This vibrant and joyful water festival is a celebration of rebirth, renewal, and hope for the future.

Community-wide water games break out during the celebration of Songkran — the largest and most well-known water festival in the world. 🌏

Event Details

    • Nothing, it’s free! If you’d like to bring money to purchase food and drinks you can plan accordingly.

    • Across the street in Faith Baptist Church’s parking lot.

    • Joplin Police Department, Emergency Vehicles, and Joplin Fire Department will all have vehicles for kids to learn and explore.

    • We plan to have 3-5 food/dessert food trucks.

    • We will have inflatable water slides and bounce houses.

    • Healing is hard work. You don’t have to do it alone. RHHC provides professional trauma therapy to children, adolescents, and adults.
